Monday: It's like the article from the NYT last week I think. Mexico and the drug ring. Last week was about Cancun and how so many students are still going amidst all this hostile happenings. Now the drug ring is growing? And crossing the border?!!! Into US territory? Over 230 US cities are included and that is honestly scary. I wonder how further it will go before everyone takes a bigger step to stop the cartels and bring down the drug lords.
Tuesday: The tootsie roll picture caught my attention - I love the colored pictures. And then it goes back to black and white.. and then BAM another colored one gets my attention and makes me read again.I really enjoy reading the articles on the drug ring in Mexico. I guess it's exciting because it's not about Iraq or the financial recession. Yeah. Thats definitely why.
Wednesday: In the business section there are pictures of the world's wealthiest men, and it was funny to see them because I actually saw a VH1 special on them and how they spend their money and the indulgences they can have. Funny how the world is in a major recession and it will never faze them! I love the picture of the wall being built on the border of the Mexican/Californian border in the desert. I mean, it's just a wall. I'm not sure how much it will stop anyone... but it is definitely a start.
Thursday: I didn't get a chance to grab the paper but I read through it online and it made me think about what Steve Damish was talking to us about. I can get all the news so much faster online. Why would people get the paper anymore? I guess I don't know if I agree with him that the paper will always be around... I know I don't agree with him... the internet is so much better. But oh well. It definitely isn't as fun as reading the paper. The paper seems so much more real, I guess.
