Monday: Obviously the picture on the front page caught my eye first. I mean, how couldn't it? When did the media get so personal in this disgusting sense? How can people feel good about exploiting other human beings when they are at their most vulnerable point?
Tuesday:The slayings in West Africa article is really... graphic. This is a component of the paper that I just can't get used to. It's so disgusting. But then again, it made me read the rest of it.. soo... it sells, right?
Wednesday: ABSOLUTELY ridiculous that college students by the hundred's are still heading to Mexico for spring break, it's like going into the Middle East; a complete war zone right now! How can parents allow this? I mean, I realize college students are old enough to make their own decisions but obviously not if they're making stupid ones like these. Absolutely absurd.
Thursday: The article about the coward who killed 15 and then himself at a school in Germany is absolutely terrible. Then the article about cities going from two to one newspapers for sale shows the actual decline of newspapers everywhere. I hadn't really heard anything about print going out of style until this article. The article about a Milwaukee bi-athalon consisting of cross-country skiing and target shooting is absolutely hilarious. A good change from the front-page terror stories.
